Finance Minister Barshaman Pun returned home on Wednesday after attending the IMF-World Bank Annual Meeting in Washington DC.
Talking to media persons at the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) on his return, Pun said the international community is ready to support Nepal's efforts to improve its economy and financial sector.
According to Pun, he held meetings with representatives of the international agencies on attracting investment in hydropower, tourism and other possible sectors in Nepal. He said they have been suggested to invest in some mega projects in Nepal rather than the smaller ones.
"I also assured the international community that the government has given high priority to peace process, constitution-drafting and economic development," said he.
FM Pun had left for Washington last week to participate in the September 23-25 annual meeting of the World Bank
