2 killed, 7 injured as bus hits illegally parked truck

Two people were killed and seven others injured, some critically, in a road accident that occurred in Simarapipara VDC along the East-West Highway, Bara district.
The accident occurred when a passenger bus (Na 3 Kha 1516) enroute to Birgunj from Pokhara hit a truck (Na 4 Kha 419) illegally parked by the roadside from behind at around 4 am in the morning.

The deceased have been identified as Rajdham Shrivastav, 14 and Bibek Shrestha, 19 of Birgunj Municipality-19, according to District Police Office, Bara.
Critically injured Shrestha died while being rushed to the hospital while Shrivastav breathed his last while undergoing treatment at the Narayani Sub-Zonal Hospital, Birgunj.
A hospital source said two of the injured – Raj Kumar Shrivastav, 22, of Birgunj-19 and Birodh Poudel, 19, of Pokhara –are in critical condition and have been sent to Kathmandu as their treatment was not possible in Birgunj while five others are undergoing treatment at the sub-zonal hospital and their condition is said to be stable
