KATHMANDU. UCPN (Maoist) Central Committee meeting has been postponed indefinitely.
The meeting scheduled to begin form Friday (September 30) was convened to settle the internal differences that deepened after the party establishment faction led by Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal agreed to hand over the keys to the arms containers to the Special Committee.
With the deferral of the meeting, which was expected to resolve the party’s internal controversy after the handing over of the keys to the arms containers to the Special Committee earlier, the internal rift within the Maoists is likely to stay for a while.
The hard-liner faction of the Maoist leaders led by Vice Chairman Moahan Baidya has been objecting to the party decision.
